Botox®

Botox

Botox® is a simple, non-surgical procedure that has been used to treat millions of patients worldwide. It is a highly purified protein injected into certain overactive facial muscles whose repeated contractions cause lines. Botox® causes these muscles to relax by blocking the nerve impulse to the muscle. A few small injections into the muscles improve the lines of facial expression such as frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet. It can also raise the lateral eyebrows, lift the corners of the mouth, reduce the “turkey bands” under the neck and dimpling in the chin.

There is virtually no downtime or recovery period with this procedure, which is performed in our office with minimal discomfort. The results are apparent within a week, lasting as long as four months. So let the world see your brightest smile or convey any facial expression without the fear of unsightly wrinkles.

Soft-Tissue Fillers

Soft-Tissue Fillers

The youthful contours of your skin and its resilience to the forces of nature owe much to the support system found underneath. Fine lines and wrinkles are a concern to both women and men. Soft-tissue augmentation softens and fills these creases by creating volume that erases signs of sun-damaged, aging skin. There are many filler agents at our disposal, including injectable collagen (a natural support substance in the skin) and hyaluronic acid (a natural sugar substance found in joints), just to name a few.

They soften fine lines, create fuller plumper lips and correct contour defects with a simple injection. Results are immediate with little discomfort.

Results last from months to years – depending on the filling agent used. We will select the soft-tissue filler that will give you the best, longest-lasting results for your particular skin type and the level of correction you need.

Thermage – The Non-Surgical Facelift

Thermage

Thermage is a revolutionary technique that non-surgically tightens the skin without incisions or any recovery time. The results can dramatically lift brows, smooth jowls, reduce double chins and tighten the neck.

Utilizing the most advanced technology, the outer layers of skin are cooled, while radiofrequency energy heats the lower layers of collagen. As the collagen heats, it tightens the deeper layers and over time, new collagen forms, further tightening the skin.

A single treatment makes gradual improvements over several weeks, lasting for several years. You can return to your normal daily activities the following day.

Laser Resurfacing

Laser Resurfacing

For deeply sun damaged and aged skin with etched in lines and wrinkles, carbon dioxide laser resurfacing is extremely beneficial. Using the latest technology, the outer layers of skin are removed in a precise and controlled manner with gentle pulses of light, up to the layer of damaged tissue. When the skin resurfaces, a new layer of healthy skin is present with a new support structure of healthy collagen and elastic tissue. The new skin is tighter and baby fresh. You can dramatically improve the fine lines in the delicate areas around the eyes and lips.

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia in our office. You can expect to be back to your normal activities in 10 days and look like you did 10 years ago!

Discoloration

Arm Discoloration Chest Discoloration

Sun damage, hormones, and skin conditions like rosacea may leave the skin covered with unsightly brown spots and broken blood vessels. Individual brown spots can be removed with topically applied acids, lasers, or pulsed light treatments. Isolated broken blood vessels are best erased with laser and light treatments. To care for an entire skin surface, a series of IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) treatments is optimal for removing brown and red discoloration. All of these procedures will renew and rejuvenate the skin on your face, neck, chest, arms and hands.

Leg Vein Improvement

Beautiful, shapely legs are often marred by unsightly spider veins or dilated capillaries that lie close to the surface. Sclerotherapy (leg vein removal) is a simple, non-surgical procedure that involves the injection of a solution directly into the unwanted blood vessels causing inflammation of the walls of the vessels. Within a few weeks, the veins collapse and fade from sight, eliminating both the unsightly appearance and discomfort.

The injections take less than an hour with virtually no recovery period. There is little discomfort associated with sclerotherapy, and the benefits can be tremendous.

Microdermabrasion and Chemical Peels

Microdermabrasion and peels are techniques that can be used individually or in concert with other treatments, depending on the nature of the problem, your skin type and the downtime available to you. These techniques are excellent ways to jumpstart a treatment program. They can produce dramatic results, soften fine lines, treat acne and revitalize skin tone, color, and texture.

The “mechanical peel” microdermabrasion utilizes pure, sugar-fine mineral crystals that gently sweep away the damaged surface cells, encouraging the skin’s natural renewal process to allow radiant, refined skin to shine through. Problem areas can be targeted for more intense treatment. The procedure is quick and painless with no downtime.

Chemical peels are another excellent procedure to achieve smoother, healthy-looking skin. The most common peeling agents used are glycolic acid, salicylic acid, resorchinol and trichloroacetic acid. The depth of the peel varies according to the results we want to achieve. Mild peels are skin refreshers, allowing you to return to your daily activities quickly, while deep peels provide a more dramatic reversal of damage from the effects of sun exposure, requiring more recovery time.

Hair Removal Systems

Laser systems and IPL (Intense Pulse Light) systems have revolutionized long-lasting hair removal and boast many advantages over traditional hair removal regimes like shaving, waxing and electrolysis. During a treatment, a beam of pulsing light targets the melanin that is naturally in the hair and follicle. The beam of light disables the follicle, reducing its ability to grow new hair, but leaving the surrounding tissues untouched.

These systems can be used on any part of the body where unwanted hair is a concern. The popularity of light-based hair removal among men has surged in recent years, because lasers allow for the treatment of large surfaces, such as the chest, shoulders and back. For both men and women, light-based hair removal is an excellent solution for removing unwanted hair.
